The 2015 Hyundai Elantra is a good used car that comes as either a sedan or hatchback. The interior has nice materials, but the rear seat can be tight for adults. The Elantra displays nimble handling, but its base engine is underpowered.
There are two different engines available for the 2015 Elantra. A 145-horsepower four-cylinder engine comes with the SE and Limited models, and a 173-horsepower four-cylinder engine is in the Sport and GT hatchback models. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a six-speed automatic is available. With the automatic transmission, the base Elantra gets an EPA fuel economy rating of 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. Fuel economy decreases by 1 mpg on the highway with the manual transmission. The stronger four-cylinder engine gets 24 mpg in the city and 34 on the highway.
The 2015 Hyundai Elantra sedan has an attractive cabin that features a mix of hard plastics and soft-touch surfaces. It seats five and is available with leather upholstery and heated front and rear seats. Taller drivers and back-seat passengers may find legroom tight in the Elantra sedan. There’s a good amount of rear-seat legroom in the Elantra GT, though. The second-row outboard seats have complete sets of LATCH child-seat connectors, and the middle seat has a tether anchor.
